Mission

The Chelmsford Grow-a-Row’s Mission is to facilitate a continuous supply of locally grown fresh produce for the food insecure members of our community.

 BACKGROUND

Chelmsford Grow-a-Row was adopted in 2021, with the original thought process coming from the national America's Grow-a-Row program. The goal of this initiative is to help ease food insecurity in our community by providing much needed “Fresh” vegetables to the Chelmsford Food Pantry, Table of Plenty and residents of the Chelmsford Housing Authority. Fresh produce are locally grown and donated by volunteer backyard gardeners.

Collectively, we have the ability to make a real difference in the amount of fresh, nutritious vegetables that can be provided to those in need in Chelmsford, and possibly beyond town lines.
